Jesus told us to stop sinning. One reason we shouldn’t sin is that when we sin, it can be hard to look people square in the eyes.

IOW, we should stop sinning for conscience sake.

People are not the only ones we can't look into the eyes of when we sin. A clouded conscience cuts us off from fellowship with God and the manifest blessings of that fellowship. In fact, it stops the effectiveness of your prayers.

So when we sin, we should be quick to get it forgiven and out of the way.
