When I began writing a Diet Bible Study, I thought it would take about two weeks and I would be skinny by Christmas. Ten years later...

It started out as a diet, and is now ending up as a, diet, self worth, wait upon the Lord, think positive... Bible study.

If you struggle with your weight, or if you have self worth issues, I know God will help you, like He has me. I was 210 pounds last time I went to the Doctor, I wore a size 22 pants (I snipped the elastic around the waist band on some of them to make them looser) and Now I wear a size fourteen, and they are getting baggy! and I weigh somewhere between 165 and 170.

You are probably saying, I am NOT going on a diet that takes me 10 years to lose 45 pounds! :screwloose Don't worry, that's how long it took God to teach me His truths (I can be stubborn) but you can have the benefit of what God taught me, and you don't have to wait ten years to do it! :yes ANYWAY, It's free, so why not try it. Oh geesh, now I sound like a infomercial... :shame

The very coolest thing, is I have no fear of gaining it back. I don't worry about calories, fat grahams, carbohydrates... In fact food has become a non-issue. I eat to sustain life, I like the way it tastes, but I also like the way water tastes, they are both gifts from God.

I am just starting out with this new ministry, and I am a bit nervous about sharing it. In fact if it weren't for Ginger, another member on this forum, I am afraid it would have sat in my computer for a very long time, she has encouraged me to talk about it.

Ginger said

God has really spoken to me recently and a big part of that was this thread and then that bible study.

Just the simple truth about examining my life and what I was putting first. I wanted to be thin first and kept praying "God bless this diet".. God do "x".

I wasn't putting God first in a practical way in my life but really was tacking Him on to things, even though in my head I thought God was first in my life - He wasn't.

Just that simple change has turned things upside for me in a great way the past few weeks. :D

Flowers over the wall isn't a diet!

I started out thinking that way but quickly realized it wasn't -
It's a challenge for Christians as to where their priorities lie, challenge what our thinking has been. Just wanting to encourage everyone to put God first.

I don't think it is just for people with food problems but helpful to all, especially to people who substitute anything for comfort instead of going to the Holy Spirit.

Kelli - you will never know what an answer to prayer you have been for me and how God has blessed me through you. I will seek you out in heaven, when we both get there, to tell you that and look forward to meeting you there, if I don't see you before.

If you knew my background you would know that it's God, not me who wrote this study, and to tell you the truth it is a bit rough in parts. I know God chose me to write this study, because it would have been impossible to do it on my own. The highest grade I completed in school was seventh, I have ADD, and I am very Grammarchallenged...

You can be the Guinea Pigs, I don't like that word, (Guinea Pigs). I don't know why they call them pigs, I don't think they look like pigs. The scientific name for Guinea pig is (Cavia porcellus) Oh boy you can tell when I'm nervous, because I ramble... and I try to be funny... and I use a lot of these>> :crazy

You can check out the study at http://flowersoverthewall.com :)

Thank you!
