They are right, the Lord said if they not be against us, they are for us. I also had this same thing come up to me yesterday by the Holy Spirit of Believers banding together with Muslims and joining forces against the enemy.

If they have no other choice and from what little I know, they don't, they absolutely should fight...and maybe we should pray they prevail or get the help they need to make that happen.
