Before you rush to judgment and declare an immediate, “Yes!” just sit for a moment and really think about it. Are you a true blue, unashamed, unabashed follower of Christ or do you sometimes conveniently leave your faith at the door depending on the circumstance? Fan vs. follower … that is the question.
If you were accused of being a Christian where you work, would there be enough evidence to convict you? Or would you be found "innocent of all charges"?
Jesus says in Matthew 7:13-14 NIV, 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it."
22"Many will say to Me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?' 23"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.' Matthew 7:22-23 NASB
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. 15 Outside the city are the dogs (homosexuals)—the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers (including gossip, slander), the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie (untruth, error, deception, cheating). Revelation 22:14-15 NLT
These believers mentioned above will be left outside the city (holy city, new Jerusalem) without glorified bodies but will have eternal life. They will not go to hell! However they will forfeit their five heavenly crowns mentioned in the New Testament; The Imperishable Crown – (1 Corinthians 9:24-25), The Crown of Rejoicing – (1 Thessalonians 2:19), (Revelation 21:4)., The Crown of Righteousness – (2 Timothy 4:8), The Crown of Glory – (1 Peter 5:4), and The Crown of Life – (Revelation 2:10), (James 1:12) . They will need the leaves of the tree for the healing of the nations - Revelation 22:2 NIV.
The only requirement to be saved is: “For God so loved the world, that He gave His [a]only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16 NASB
38Peter said to them, "Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 NASB
He that has ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 11:15 NKJV
