I have been watching some of the bees. They are crawling into very same hole in the foundation of this home.In the wood siding. That can not be good. Are they possibly making nests in there?I am sure glad this is not my home.

Yes, it's possible. There is a bee that was hybridized in South America and is now migrating to North America. They are invasive and more aggressive. Someone should probably identify them to see if they are ones I am thinking of.

Africanized Honey Bee, Apis mellifera
The Situation: Africanized honey bees are a hybrid between European and African bee subspecies which were inadvertently released in Brazil in the 1950s. They have spread to the south as far as northern Argentina and to the north into the United States, as well as throughout much of South and Central America. They entered Texas in 1990, Arizona and New Mexico in 1993, and California in 1994. European bees have long been established in much of the United States, including California. Following colonization, unmanaged bee populations are replaced or mixed with Africanized Honey Bee.

If they are the Hybrid they need to be eliminated or at least relocated. If they are the European Bee, damage is going to be the rule but it can be profited from in the long run. A 4'x4'x8' tall pet enclosure made of pipe and Chain Link fencing with a 4'x4' pipe and fence top will keep the kids out of the honey and the queen can be located there and all the workers will migrate there with her.

If they do this tell them to anchor the fence with concrete. My experience here in Texas and Louisiana tells me that if you do not notice the humming wall yet, now is the best time to remove and relocate. Remember, those bees are going to belong to somebody so why pay for someone else to have a life time supply of honey while they also will pay the carpenters to repair the house anyway.

she would have been dead if those were there. they would warn her if they detected her and if she didn't move away. its on.

I know... they were buzzing around me and they sure did not seem agressive to me.They were small.Could they be carpenter bees?

Have you seen the documentary about these particular type of bees, where a guy was using a big piece of machinery like a bull-dozer to tear apart an old motor home and it was infested with those bees. They attacked him and he might have died, cant remember for sure.

wasps aren't aggressive. I have walked through bushes and they are a buzzing near the flowers and left me alone.

Yes, I have been stung by a yellow jacket before and had a bad reaction to it. The documentary I was talking about was on Discovery Channel I think.
