I have often wondered why is it that so many religious leaders including persons like John Hagee continue to spout the idea that the Jews are a special kind of people.

From reading the bible the Jews were always opposed to Christ and hence to Christianity. This is not an anti-semetic thread, but throughout the bible they were fierced opponents of Christ.

The Jewish people allowed their preachers, the high priest to deceive them. Many could have checked the prophecies to see that what the prophets wrote had come to pass.

I believe that the high priest were deliberate in their actions. They blasphemed the Holy Spirit. Regardless of their connection to Abraham the Jews including the Orthodox Jews will never be accepted by God..UNLESS they accept Christ as the true Messiah.

Act 5 12.Neither is there salvation in anyother: for there is none other name under heaven given among men,whereby we must be saved

In the gospels they did not want the disciples to preach in Christ's name. In the book of Acts when the early New Testatment church was founded they opposed the apostles asking them not to preach in Christ's name. Strangely enough other religous groups like the Muslims have a hatred for Christianity, which to my mind suggest that the Jewish religion is just much of a threat to Christianity as Islam.. If you are not with Christ you are against him.

If this is true of Israel would not this be true of the whole world. My point in the OP is that the Jews have a choice IF they willfully choose to defy God and Christ they are gone. How then will you explain the scripture that God is no respector of persons.

I believe that there is a difference between ignorant unbelief and presumptous sinning. The bible states that there is no forgiveness for those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit and some of the Jews did that. God will take away their sins, but wouldn't they have to repent. I get the impression by some religious folks that because they are Jews they have a special account with God. There is neither Jew nor Greek.
When you curse Jesus and refuse to believe that he is the Messiah how can you claim to know God. There is a school of thought which suggest that the Anti Christ will be Jewish since no Jew will ever accept a non Jewish Messiah. If the gospel is preached in Israel and they refuse to accept Jesus what then. As I have said before the Jews hate Jesus and the Muslims...what make them more righteous than the other.

It is true that the Jewish people, just like the Christian people have one terrible record of working ther faith into their daily lives but just as God instructed Elijah, He has always held a remnant among the Jewish Church, just as He does, now, among this unfaithful bunch of outs that call themselves by the name, Christian.

Sister abide, as far as I can tell your every reason for Israel's demise is justifiably certain but for God and His grace. As you're probably aware the Apostle Paul was given revelation by our risen Savior Jesus according to:
Gal 1:11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
Gal 1:12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.
And this was subsequent to the scripture we read in the gospels. Did it contain information and prophesies hid from all others; in other words, was this something Jesus had withheld from even the other apostles?

Col 1:25 Whereof I (Paul) am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God;
Col 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to his saints:

Now there is coming judgment for Israel, and he that endures that horrible tribulation to come upon all the world will be saved to enter a time of peace never before experienced without Satan. There will even be 144,000 of the tribes of Israel caught up into the heavenly Jerusalem (mount Sion - Heb 12:22 & Rev 14:1)

But the leaders of Israel liked the praises of men rather than the praises of God,(John 12:37- 43) and did not want to give up their high places in the leaders of Israel. God is the God of Israel, but there is also an Israel of God. (Gal. 6:16). I do not believe any TV ministries, I believe the God of the Scriptures. God will again bring Israel to It's greatness under the Son of David King of Israel (The Christ) It is called The Kingdom of Heaven in the Kingdom of God. So in the end time when the religious leaders tell people to reject Christ will you say it is the religious leaders. My point is that some of the Jewish people were complicit in denying Christ. They were fearful of the Jews and that fear caused them to go along with the Jewish leaders.
Revelation 21.8 states that doubters, fearful and liars will be thrown in the lake of fire. Those who doubted Christ as the Messiah will not be saved.
In order for a person to be saved they must repent. I quite understand the covenant God made to the Jewish people but the fact of the matter is that when they continue to wilfully deny Christ and assume as some Christians assume that they will be save because of their connection to Abraham I think this is false.

Yes, Of course Christ is the Savior of the world to those who look for him at His coming. But in the end, it will be the Spirit of Christ who will judge, all the secret things hidden in a mans heart, meaning, that many a so called Christian will be judged along with the wicked.
