For an Old Testament class, my professor is having us read his book on David. IMO, It's too much like a middle school sunday school lesson. Has anyone read any of his other books? What have you thought of them?

I know of a few people who love Chuck. One of our Elders did a lesson on Ecc. based on some of Chuck's study material on Ecc.

For the most part, Chuck seems practical, just not very Theological. Maybe that's why it seems so sunday schoolish to you.

BTW, I took an OT Theology class. Absolutely loved the works of Paul R. House as an introductory to OT theology! I've been told that Walter Breuggerman does a great study on David and also on the Psalms.
