You knew it was bound to happen, sooner or later.

We just didn’t think it would be THAT soon.

When Dodge announced the $60,000 Challenger SRT Hellcat and Charger SRT Hellcat earlier this year – with 707 horsepower motors that make them the most powerful stock muscle cars on the streets of America today – it was almost inevitable what might happen when someone would push one to … and past … its limits.
 
Hmmmmm a friend of mine sent me this.

Challenger Hellcat vs Corvette Stingray
That is comparing Apples to Oranges.

The Stingray is not the performance Corvette model, the Z06 is.

The Z06 weighs in at a little more competitive 650 HP and 650 foot pounds of torque against the SRT Hellcat and beats the Hellcat by six tenths of a second 0 to 60 MPH.

The Z06 also wins at 11.1 seconds in the quarter mile VS. 11.9 seconds for the SRT.

we had a 57and 75 vette and a Mopar 67 GTX 440 i loved the GTX bestest...

Still is. Monica's truck is a Dodge Ram 1500 slt. I had to tell her what Mopar meant. Then I had to poke at her for her teasing me about my Nissan.

Mopar stands for more power. but I say Most Original parts are replaced.lol
 
I WISH I could find a video of my friend in his SRT6 Crossfire leaving an M6 behind at the Clayton airport in the fall of 2012.

It even surprises us Crossfire guys to see John get away from him.
