Bible Study Charity Shall Cover The Multitude Of Sins

WalterandDebbie

Thursday 12-19-19, Kislev 22, 5780 5th. day of the weekly cycle, 88th. Fall day,

For charity shall cover the multitude of sins; referring to Proverbs 10:12 not a man's own sins, but the sins of others; and not from the sight of God, for from that only the blood and righteousness of Christ cover sins, even all the sins, the whole multitude of the sins of God's elect; but from the sight of men, both of those against whom they are committed, and others; since charity, or true love, thinks no ill, but puts the best constructions upon the words and actions of fellow Christians, and does not take them up, and improve and exaggerate them, but lets them lie buried in oblivion: it takes no notice of injuries, offences, and affronts, but overlooks them, bears with them, and forgives them, so that they are never raked up, and seen any more; which prevents much scandal, strife, and trouble.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. 1 Peter Four:8

1 Peter Four:7-19 (KJV)

Commands In Suffering:

7 But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.

8 And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

9 Use hospitality one to another without grudging.

10 As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

11 If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:

13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.

14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.

15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.

16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.

17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?

18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.

Love always, Walter and Debbie

this inspires me thank you

loving even our enemies imo takes the grace of God - this inspires me to ask God for more of His ability to love to fill my life
I fell very short in loving my enemies just before we left Houston. A lady (she's no lady) came over and starting questioning our son. He was caught off guard so I rushed outside to get her away from him. Unfortunately I cursed her right out of our yard. She recorded me on her phone and let me know she was doing so. She gave some kind of bogus "Jesus loves you and I do too." I shunned her remark because I knew she was saying such for the benefit of the recording which failed to reveal how many men she'd had living with her through the years as she played "christian" nor did it reveal how she tried ramming her car into our son's truck but missed or how she hit my wife's car with her car then drove off. She also said out loud to one of her "Johns" while gesturing my way "They say he has no rights on disability". She belonged to a "church" where they take in disabled men then after she gains their trust, she writes up a chore list for them to perform. After they meet the list , their benefits are stripped from them. She and the "church" split the state reward of $5k and she kicks them out. She then seizes their personal property. I tried praying for her multiple times, but have been unsuccessful as I absolutely despise disingenuos people who harm others in the name of God. Nevertheless I regret letting my emotions get the better of me and am thankful to be away from her.

yes - that is totally evil - i don't understand people like that - they must have the blackest of hearts - we should have nothing to do with them
