I try hard to teach my kids the meaning of Christmas, but they still would rather see a picture of Santa than of Christ at Christmas.
Am I wrong about this? It seems that Christ has become to many, many people just a name like Easter Bunny or St. Valentine. My case in point is a Christmas movie review done by a girl (I do not know how old she is) who mentions Christ in passing and that he was a leper. Excuse me? She then goes on to read subcontext into the story of Rudolph that includes, among other things, the acceptance of homosexuality. Is this indicative of the current generation or just a result of more and more people putting the church on the back burner?
