I am deeply interested and motivated in the idea of living with fellow Christians in a commune preferably off-grid, living in a town with only a handful of Christians it's hard to really show your faith and love for Jesus, there isn't too much I can find online so I thought I'd post here, so if you know of such a place then please comment.

If you lived with just one other person, you could illustrate the life of Christ by your dealings with that one person.
Have you got a food bank in your town?
Volunteer there.
Have you got an orphanage in your town?
Go there and ask if the kids can play checkers with you.
Or football or badminton.
Ask if you can read to the younger kids.
Have you got a hospital in your town?
Go ask if they need volunteers.

Showing love for Jesus while among other Christians is easy.
Show it to those who don't believe loving others is important to your faith.
That is hard.

Welcome to the forum tyleryhwh ! :wave2

Have you ever thought about why you are one of a "handful" ? The people that are hurting are there where you are . You need to be a light to them . I am preaching to myself too :) .

Matthew 9 , Jesus speaking .
37 Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;
38 Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest.

Hopeful has given you some good ideas .

There are all kinds of Jews listed in the NT: The Pharisees, Saducees, Herodians, Zealots, and several others. The one group that is clearly missing is the Essanes. They were the ones who went "off grid" and lived in their own self supporting communities. Probably as close to a commune as you would find in those days. There is only one mention of them; but not of them directly, but of the city charter of the Qumran community at the Dead Sea.

Matt 5:43
You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’

There is no place in either Scripture or Rabbinic writing that adds "hate your enemy." Scholars wondered about that for centuries. But when the scrolls from Qumran (Dead Sea Scrolls) were translated, there that text was in the Qumran city charter.

My point is, going off grid and living in some commune may seem to be easier, but you basically take yourself out of the loop in God trying to get His Gospel to the world.
