our country was founded on judeao christian values,we must not allow the

What criteria are you applying to support your assertion that the United States of America (I assume that you are talking about the USA) is the "greatest nation on earth"? I suggest that by any reasonable criteria (except possibly military ones), the USA is by no means the "greatest nation on earth".

We are Christians first - members of a worldwide family that knows no national boundaries - and Americans, Canadians, French, and Cambodians, a distant, distant, distant second.

I see it this way: (this is a paraphrase from an unknown)

We were the only ones in the boat at one time. Being believers in certain freedoms, we allowed the Jews, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, agnostics, atheists, etc. into our boat.

Now, as the boat is getting filled, they want to throw us, the first ones in, overboard!

Sort of like what we did to the Native Americans. God first, country and all else, second, third, fourth, etc. They can never take away our Faith.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

You are absolutly right. What the anti-christians have done is the change things very slow so you don't notice at first, then once they get rolling they move fast. This next Presidental election could be very critical to the Christian rights. One problem I've seen is if you talk to alot of Christians they got their head stuck in the sand. I feel the only way it will stop is with the return of Jesus. I'm ready to go home.

i see it this way
we live in the end times it says that wars, Famines and other various death dealing things will happen.
I think that if the forefathers had seen america of the future they would be disgusted. but one of the reasons we established this country was for religios freedom. it was not all founded on
Judea Christian values
only it was also founded by other religous values as well. for example you think the church of Egland was the only people that were being persicuted, not at all, i think that christanity had a lead influence, but only at first when we were establishing the country because people had less control due to the fact they were in a uknown world, when they got better grips on the land they lost a need to have God becuase they had more power over th enviorment. point being christian beliefs got booted after revolutionary war, if you want proof of this look at the seperation of church and state laws back then.

This nation has never gotten out of the abyss of slavery.

Yep. And Christians seem to think that we are supposed to let it happen, and simply turn the other cheek...never praying about it. Never practicing spiritual warfare. Just assuming that it must be God's will.
But, uh, not the first ones in. I recently listened to a PBS special on the life of Columbus. It was a reminder that shows that he found islands inhabited by thousands of natives. He discovered America if you consider that Europeans were not aware of its existence. But it was not an unknown land.

Hmm. I hate this topic, cause I love the Native American people. God always favors His people over pagan nations. Kinda puts us right back on track of the op. If you had to testify in a court of law, would you say that the USA is a Christian nation, or a pagan nation?

If you believe as I do, Jesus will be here before we know it. Meaning things are going to get a lot worse before they get better. Our Nation as we knew it is pretty much in the history books, for you see by are deeds and actions we've expelled God from our public places, schools etc. and have more or less told him to go somewhere else and play. The Scripture teaches that the Nation that forgets God will be turned into hell...

The word "Christian" and "patriot" do not really belong together. This seems to me to be a very unique American Christian phenomenon. Where else has the gospel come to be wrapped in the national flag?

Its disturbing.

All this "end times" stuff is disturbing too. People have said its the end times now for two thousand years. Why is there a bunch in every generation that think they have the privlige of knowing? Why does one generation not learn from the next here?

Some Christians spend far too much time thinking about the end times, IMHO. Whether or not Jesus is coming back tomorrow, we should act like we have no clue (and thats probably because we don't). Eschatology shouldn't influence politics. Take a note from the Essenes, there's a reason they participated in the Roman-Jewish war and a reason all we have left of them is a bunch of scrolls in Qumran.

very much true

but you must understand the want to know when Jesus comes back is still a big factor.
all though i brung up the idea that the end times are near i honestly live for today and try not to think about tommorow so much.
For all we know there could be 300 years till his coming.

This is what the Apostle Paul thought.. I Thessalonians 4:16-18 A time for comforting each other,
why do you try and make it sound otherwise

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
