Leave your left brain out of it. That's the control freak part that has to analyse , dissect, organise, conclude, compare, deduce, quantify, ....and so on.
That's why I'm attracted to the Catholic monastic tradition. It's more right brain. Mystical. Experiential. Subjective. Creative. Artistic, musical.....you get the drift.
To experience Jesus is like being moved by a beautiful song. You are struck by the beauty of it. God equals love equals beauty. Not superficial beauty either. Depth and peace.
Now some will label this new age nonsense. Maybe it is, in some context.
But those of you who believe in the power of being saved by Jesus as an adult. That was an emotional experience. It took you to another place. Transcendent.
Logic and commonsense are not part of the religious experience. I believe we can experience God right here, right now.
