Christians Today Believe That They Are God's 'Sacred Cow'

Lately many Christians have acted like the Jewish leaders of old. On one end of the spectrum you have Christian churches adding more rituals to their faith (vows, oaths, etc., that mimic Islam) and others are adding more sin to their faith (hint: homosexuality).

In every instance of religious dilution a religious person slowly evolves into believing themselves as their own 'sacred cow' where they believe that they are above reproach and immune from God's rebuke.

But consider Jesus said that the body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, and we all know what God has done to every temple in the bible, Jewish or otherwise, he destroyed it! Christians, by believing that they are the sacrosanct temple of the Holy Spirit begin to act as if they are immune from God's rebuke. Christians then begin to infuse their faith with all sorts of immorality and ritualistic behavior.

Recall that in the Book of Revelation Jesus sent letters to certain seven churches and rebuked them for their self-serving behavior. Christians today have succumbed to the same error as the seven churches whereby they appeal to the sins of the flesh to garner the favor of the wicked (hint: accepting homosexuality).

If Christians think that we are somehow God's scared cow and therefore immune from God's rebuke, just as the religious leaders had done in Jesus Christ's time, then just remember that God threw out all of the money changers before he destroyed the temple (hint: economic ruin before physical ruin – the coming four horsemen of the Apocalypse).

Another point worth mentioning is that Jesus did not write anything down concerning his own ministry, nor did any of his disciples during Jesus' lifetime on earth. The disciples were told that the Holy Spirit would arrive to help them recall what needs to be recalled in order to write down the events surrounding Jesus Christ's life, ministry, death, and resurrection.

But consider what happened in the Book of Revelation when Jesus told John to write down all that he will witness concerning the End Times. Jesus even dictated the content of the letters to the seven Christian churches that he wanted to be sent to warn them of a Godly rebuke. Notice there is no mention of any reliance on the Holy Spirit to augment John's recollection of all the events that he will witness concerning the end times which is mankind's final judgment (hint: read the Book of Revelation).

By having John write down all that he will see and witness, without any reliance on the Holy Spirit, means only one thing. During mankind's final judgment the Holy Spirit will be removed from the earth when all those who believe in Jesus Christ, and who have the indwelling Holy Spirit in them (hint: get baptized), will be taken out of this world to be with Jesus Christ in heaven, this is called the Rapture.

The Book of Revelation was written down by John as the events unfolded in the future indicating that the Holy Spirit is not present on earth any longer. If the Holy Spirit were present during the End Times then it could have just spoken directly to a believer's heart and mind to deliver a letter/message to those seven churches.

Woe to those who are left behind after the Rapture when Jesus Christ will appear in the clouds (hint: a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire) to remove all of his faithful to spare them being harmed by God's final judgment of mankind.

Believe in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and then go tell someone and then get baptized to insure that all the events in the Book of Revelation will be an viewed as a spectator in heaven (hint: the rapture) and not as a participant down here on earth.

God Bless

Well, there will be folk who do not like what you've written, but it's the truth. The problem that I see is, there are not many true Believers expecting Jesus' return for His Bride in the rapture real soon, even if they believe in a rapture. It's as if people feel, "O well, life goes on like it has for years. The Apostle Paul thought Jesus' return would be in his life time or shortly after. He has not come and won't come for a long time. I'll just go along with the crowd and what ever will be, will be."

I certainly don't know when Jesus will gather together His elect Bride, but since I don't know, I'll live like it could happen today!! Thanks for the wake up my friend.
