Should Christians work in the secular entertainment industry? Would it be wrong or defying you're belief in god if you work on a film that has secular themes.
Should Christians only work on Christian based films ?
It's hard to find work in the film industry that doesn't use secular themes.
When is it ok to work on these projects ? Or is it never really ok ?

I am a Christian and have recently became a believer. I have been working on a feature film for the last 6 months that's completely secular. I completely gave my word and committed to this project. I have done a good solid 4 months of pre-production on this film. we are currently 2 weeks away from principle photography. Now I am faced with the challenge of what to do in this situation. In the script their are characters smoking marijuana, usage of bad language and a scene that actually knocks "looks down on" religion. Obviously after this project I would have the option of choosing what I work on in the future and base that off my morals and beliefs.
Christians that work in the Film industry what are your thoughts on this ?
Any thoughts would be helpful, thanks :)

If you can work in the entertainment industry without breaking the Lord's commandments, then I think it is okay. However, that might not be easy to do. You might find yourself tested.
