It's mostly just referencing studies that came out a fee years back. Basicly new discoveries in Brazil show that humans may have migrated down the coast sooner than originally thought.
The land bridge theory has not been the primary explanation since the 90s and early 2000s. It was just one of several ways people immigrated to the America's from the Asian continent.

It makes a lot of sense. They didn't cross oceans because until the Polynesian expansion, no one knew how to navigate open seas. But moving by boat down coastlines is a quick and effective way to explore. In Europe, that's how the Megalith culture in Europe expanded starting about 7,000 years ago.
