Creation and Man's purpose within it*

I would like to hear your thoughts on the following and I am by no means claiming that this impression is correct , hence the reason that I am hoping for some thoughtful feed back .

God created man in his image, as his representatives on earth. We were / are his caretakers of this material world .

God was pleased when man was created and called our creation good ,indicating that God had intended man to inhabit a material world . God also blessed man with the means to live forever by giving us the tree of life in the garden of Eden , which was taken from " us " at the time of mans fall .

Man was created on earth to hold dominion over the Earth , as Gods representative .*

Man was intended to live a long life , from creation when he had access to the tree of life, to the fall of man when man still lived a very long time , up until the flood, when man's life span was drastically reduced after the flood.*

If we note, God was disappointed that he created man when he saw the evil that was rampet in man's hart. God used the flood to cleanse the Earth. *For with the sin that was in mans heart , man disappointed God so greatly as we were / are , his representatives in this plain of creation and to see the sin that we were doing , once again as his representatives , saddened him greatly .

When we look to scripture we see the promise of a new hevean and a new earth. Is man to inhabit this new earth, rather than the new heaven?

If we search the word " heaven " in the bible we will find that the word is used to describe the universe and not a place that we go to when we die . We do however hear of the kingdom of God , but is the material plain not also his kingdom ? *We are also told that the kingdom of God is at hand , once again indicating that his kingdom is also here before us , even if we chose not to see it , or ignor it , for the sake of waiting for something else to come .

We are also told that God's house has many rooms , would we be wrong if we assumed that this material plain is not one of those many rooms ?

Was man intended to inhabit the Earth / material plain , as Gods representatives , rather than a super natural plane of existence?*

If not , then why is God going to create a new earth , if not for us to once again live and exist with in it , as was his intention before our fall ?
