David Kirkpatrick, father of Katie Kirkpatrick has also been struggling with cancer for the past few years. He's been a trooper through it all and until recently, has been able to maintain a smile on his face and has been full of good humor.

David's not doing well, and like his daughter, he's ready to go home to be with the Lord.

The Kirkpatrick's are such an inspiration for me, and anyone who knows them, or knows of them, knows that they are a beautiful family, full of love, compassion and concern. For all this family has gone through in the past several years, and what Niki, Dave's wife is going through now, my request is that your prayers fill their home in these last days.

Cancer is indeed one of the ugliest diseases out there to fight. It attacks so much of the body, slowly weakening it and draining the person who has it of life. One thing though that death itself cannot even kill though is faith. Faith as is one's ability to love something in which the devil himself could only wish to claim. For as long as we love in Christ, live in Christ, and believe in Christ the devil cannot do much but strive to make our existance here on earth hard. Keep your chin up and never cease to let God inspire you through His word, others, and also never cease to strive to be an inspiration though Him who strengthens us all.
