Any one have any thoughts on David's Tabernacle? What, where, why, etc.

If and/or when it will be rebuilt. Why?

Read Acts 15 and Hebrews 9. It has been rebuilt and you are living proof.:clap

While I agree with Sinth (and I assume Reba agrees with Sinth also) I tend to not use the words tabernacle and Temple as though they were one in the same. In the Bible, the tabernacle was portable and movable; The Temple was not.

Jesus (and His Apostles) are the foundation of the new Temple and we make up the rest of the body of this Temple.

Act 15:15 And to this agree the words of the prophets; as it is written,
Act 15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

I am not very good at puting my thoughts in words.....

I agree Vic there are not enterchangable words....

Davids tabernacle was a tent a simple covering over the ARC the arc (the presence of God) was in the open in the mist of the people.

In the building, the Temple it was hiden in the Holy of Holies When He died the seperation the vail ripped....

Joh 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
Joh 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days?
Joh 2:21 But he spake of the temple of his body.

Psalm 61 should really help.

It's not the actual object of the tabernacle or temple, but the religious concept symbolically represented by the object. What did the tabernacle mean to David? The same physical tabernacle existed for Saul, yet Saul clearly did not receive from it's presence the same benefit.

As Christians we also have a "Tabernacle of David". Even though it is fundamentally exactly the same as that of David, because of the work of Christ we now represent it differently.

Yes, I'm purposely only hinting at the answer.:distorted
