Satan too believes. A christian means they are a follower of christ. That there actions resemble christ or are christ-like. That word (belief) in John 3v16 meant, a belief so strong that it provokes action, it is not that weak, watered down version of (belief) that defines many today.

Yes, very good description of a Christian. I'm not sure what you mean when you ask what is the difference between Christian and western. If you are referring to people who live in the western hemisphere (I noticed you are in the Netherlands), that has nothing to do with Christianity. It's about what warhorse said, not about where you live. And it has nothing to do with whether or not you listen to top 40 music or anything else like that. It sounds like you really don't understand what Crhistianity is all about, but you know enough that you want to be a Christian. It would be a good idea to find a good Christian church in your area and talk to the Pastor about it. In talking with you personally, face to face, he will be able to answer your questions better and will guide you through how to become a Christian if that is what you choose to do. (Of course, I am assuming you are not a Chrsitian, since you would have had to come to a better understanding of what Christianity is in order to make that decision. Forgive me if you actually are a Chrsitian already. I don't mean any offence!)

Being a Christian is something that is defined by the individual only. If one follows what he believes is Christ's message, than he identifies himself as a Christian. There are many, many denominations of Christianity with differing beliefs as to exactly what they feel are the characteristics of followers of Christ. They range from very traditional conservative 'Jesus is God incarnate who brings salvation through His death and resurrection' (my belief) to very liiberal 'Jesus was not devine but had that of God within him that made him the perfect teacher and man whose life we do well to emulate.'

I have very little patience with folks who think they have all the answers to the mysteries of Chrisitianity and want to judge others. We have enough to do with just entering into a righteous relationship of our own - working out our own salvation with fear and trambling - without being arrogant enough to be modern-day Pharisees.

The Holy Spirit Strives on ALL of God's creation. When they 'YIELD' And He can get inside, we see Rom. 8:1. The Christian might not even know who they are serving as in this case, yet, they are Christian's none the less! So, we see the Law In Their Hearts taught from God's Nature & they follow (Rom. 8:14) all the Truth that they have had, these are Christians as 'i' see it.

at the first replier i would say where are we' gonna go then?(dont tell me....l.)

i almost forgot ow i am as much a christian'that might cause other christianity's' to fall since they hang mostly on past while i am and be actually...(its better for me not to ge to egypt before if they and you know all truth about me, coz...?)

i gues we all believe in what occured+ and there's loads or more then enough to say **** did happen indeed, in case i or u got wonderred of..(jehova's 2)

but it does nothing of about me, like swaid it's only a provocation and surely telling somebody he should die first, i'd say what sect or cult are youy in??

and baptizing and all church i know. but isn't the believe such as "i believe in you" the basic ownership of whole humanity instead of just poaple who may eat the bread and drink the wine?
