I know that is an outrageous statement to make.
and active people like the Queen make this assertion look wrong. She is like 92? and still giving speeches? Still working. Awesome. Just awesome.
I'm talking about people who need care. Close personal care for their last decade. Maybe with dementia thrown in. Someone has to step up and look after that person. Then they suffer carer's depression. Caring consumes their own life. it's a huge sacrifice.
Anyway I hope I am independent in my elderly years. And not needing high level support .
