can you say me it
Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. 5 Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? 6 And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. 7 For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. 8 And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming. 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8
The rapture takes place just after the resurrection of the dead.
This happens at the coming of the Lord, in which every eye will see Him, and the brightness of His coming will destroy the antichrist

And why shouldn't he? You have to give justification as to why he shouldn't. And, no, the rest of your post doesn't show why.Your're reading it literally.

Sure. But even literally it doesn't prove that there is a rapture.Ok, understanding it literally. Just as people are waiting for some literal man of sin to come on the scene or some rapture is going to happen.

I can see that you don't believe in a rapture; neither do I. My point was that the passage in question should be taken literally but does not necessarily support the idea of a rapture. And most everything Jesus said was not in parable.I dont believe in a rapture. Everything Christ spoke was in parable.

Why? Please justify your argument. If people believe the man of sin is a person or some antichrist who will be on earth, they may as well believe a beast with 10 horns and 7 heads is going to come out of the sea.
Why? Please justify your argument.
Would you not agree that there is a significant difference between a beast with seven heads coming out of the sea and a man? You have not justified why believing the man of sin is a literal person is the same as believing in a literal beast with seven heads.Well a man of sin is a man of sin and a beast with 7 heads is a beast with 7 heads.
