Hi guys. I'm curious if anyone knows the criteria by which our terrifying ICE folks are using to pick up people to deport?

I read a story the other day that a man in his 70's was picked up for deportation who had lived here in the states for over 60 years. Had worked honestly and raised a family in which 3 of his sons served honorably in the U.S. Marines. Their claim to his being a criminal was that in the mid 1980's he had a charge of possession of marijuana.

Really? As a nation we are ok with throwing such a person out? And there really doesn't seem to be an end to such accounts. Mr. Garcia Abrego doesn't really seem to have been involved with any gang activity and had also lived a life that is certainly on par with most born and bred Americans. But the powers that be are now doing absolutely everything they can to apparently make up charges against him so that they will be seen as having been right to ruin his families and his own life by flying him to some Hades prison in El Salvador. Are we, as christians and believers in a God who loves mercy more than sacrifice really on board with these activities?

How many of those participating on this site really believe that this is what God would ask of us? Just curious. To me, it looks more like the pogroms of Nazi Germany or N. Korea. And really, if the administration really wants to make our national monuments more in line with current American beliefs, why haven't we taken that sign off of the Statue of Liberty?

I don't know this man's particular story, but the majority of people being picked up have either no criminal record or have a misdemeanour, and many are not here "illegally." A good number of them are Christian, but they're not white.

No Christian should be onboard with the vast majority of ICE's activities and what Trump demands. It's absolutely, utterly, completely godless.

Mat 25:41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
Mat 25:42 For I was hungry and you gave me no food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink,
Mat 25:43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit me.’
Mat 25:44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to you?’
Mat 25:45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.’
Mat 25:46 And these will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” (ESV)

Yes, the U.S. is actually dangerously close to becoming 1930's Nazi Germany. And it's all based on white "Christian" nationalism. ICE agents are the brownshirts, whose budget has been increased to $160B--about $15B more than Russia's defence spending for 2025. Americans had better be questioning why ICE needs such a massive budget. It's essentially creating an army on U.S. soil for Trump. Why would that be necessary? Are there that many "illegal" immigrants, or is it because he intends on sending Americans--particularly political opponents--to concentration camps as well (which he has stated off camera)? Is it so that ICE can hold the fort while he attacks other countries? This is Nazism to a T.

If Trump doesn't run for a third term or set things up so that the Republicans "win" (cannot lose) the next election, and if the Democrats somehow get into power, then Christians are in huge trouble. Of course, it's pretty much at the point where the Republicans simply will not let the Democrats into power because the repercussions would be severe.

Of course, Christians could be in trouble regardless. Once you get rid of all the non-white immigrants (and non-immigrants), who's next?
