Does Tuesday's 'blood moon' signal the End Times?

not likely.if it was a signal then it would be a time frame. can you post me an actually statement of jesus that the blood moon is the sign of his return. these can be calculated to the exact hour of movment and whom will see them. florida will not see much of it. so how can it be much of a sign?

Since the beginning of humankind people have been using celestial events to predict the end of the world. Yet we are still here.
Thus I'm sceptical that this time is any different.
Also, Jesus himself said no one knows the time of His return.

Too sad the ecplispe won't be visible here, but you guys in America can see it. I hope you get some awesome weather so you can observe and enjoy it!

I will be up at the time of the full eclipse but it will be only partially red. not all of the planet gets to see the dark red or red at all.

Interestingly Jerusalem (and all of Israel) is not going to see it.

kinda defeats the purpose of the teaching of futurism on that. and that is my point. if we were say 200 years ago it would be known until it was seen that it was a sign.

I've seen only one "blood moon" eclipse in my life and it was prett awesome. If you have some decent photo equipement try and take some pictures, Jason!

Well people could argue that there's way more Jews in the USA than in Israel, and God knew that the world would have a much different access to information and astronomical knowledge.... but I don't believe it either. Futurism is a lot of guessing and so far nobody has guessed very well.

I will bring my camera when I go to do the paper route. I have seen two blood moons.from fires . the last one was about two years ago and when we do get to see the moon its big.

actually I checked on that. we have about the same amount of jews as isreal, depending on the source of the census.

do the end times speak of Jews? Jerusalem? or Israel?

The reason the moon sometimes appears red during a total eclipse is that, seen from space, the earth is surrounded by a circle of sunrises and sunsets. The reddish light from this circle reflects off the moon, making it appear red. But if it's cloudy in many or most places during the eclipse, the moon can look black instead of red. We won't know what color it will be until we actually see it. The same applies to the following 3 total eclipses everybody is getting so excited about. There's no way of knowing that they will all be "blood moons" (which is an invented term anyway).

Or all three?

If you get some good pics feel free to post them! For those of us that are unfortunate to live in the wrong corner of the world. :-)

This Scripture suggests that it is not for us to know when the Lord will return.

"But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. " Matthew 24:36 NIV

This Scripture suggests that when the Lord does return, we will know it. We won't need to wonder about signs or such. His return will be immediately obvious to all believers.

"So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man." Matthew 24:26-27 NIV
