Luk 21:11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Mar 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

I found 16 verses on earthquakes. I have posted the 3 that are a repeat of Christ's words.

No Greek scholar here not even a Strong's scholar. Wondering why folks are looking to mutable earthquakes?
 
the reality of earthquakes is spiritual Reba, and the depths of same are opened here:

Revelation 12:16
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

Physical earthquakes? An external/physical show of spiritual realities, but the real meanings behind 'most' physical matters is that they are in fact matters of spiritual realities. In other words they point to deeper spiritual meanings. That is why Christ deployed the terms in that way.

my 2 cents on earthquakes...I am a 'reverse' literalist.
