Ever Noticed How Polite Animals Are?

I've been watching some animal videos on youboob and it occurred to me, how polite and humble many animals are. Especially horses and dogs. Little kids are hard on pet dogs and it seems like in the videos that, the bigger the dog is, the more abuse they seem to take from the little ones. It's amazing!

And horses, horses are so humble and longsuffering with humans. It takes an awful lot of abuse to get a horse to kick you. In videos, I see horses being extra careful with little kids. You can tell by how they act. They run from little kids before kicking them or whatever.

It's obvious to me that, the Lord put animals here, to help us, and to protect us, and to just be there and be a comforting companion to us, and even more so to little kids because they act like it.!!

All except for goats, not sure what happened there. They like head-butting people and even little kids. And the roosters & chickens, can't turn your back on them, lol. But I like watching videos of animals and kids interacting together. I seen one where a big white fish started playing with little kids through the glass. I'm not sure what it was, kinda like a Dolphin but different. A beluga whale maybe? It would come up to the glass where the kids were and then like, flinch and open it's mouth real big, and the lids would run and scream! But you can tell that the fish was playing. It almost seemed like it started to laugh when the kids ran, lol.

I miss owning a horse now! And I still haven't got me a new dog yet either!

And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. Genesis 2:18-19a NKJV

If the nephish animals were made as companions for man, it makes sense that they would be companionable.

I really miss and want the opportunity to have another dog someday. It has also always been a dream of mine to someday own a horse. :)

The saleswoman I bought my car from liked to ride horses. She was telling me about it during the test ride.

Having horses is very cool. But when I was watching horse videos, it occurred to me that...horses are very humble, submissive to us humans. They help a lot and work hard, and then what? Into the cold barn tonight boy...most horses are big enough that, if they chose to not be submissive then we'd never tame them or get help pulling stumps or plowing. And geez, even when we just ride them to go from point a to point B....what do we do? Kick them, pull their reins all over the place and generally not be very nice to them, in my mind at least. But they'll do it and be loyal!

About dogs...I'm about to where I'm starting to believe that all dogs can understand all humans when we talk to them. I think they understand us fine, but just don't speak our language so we think, oh they don't talk, can't understand, dumb dog...but in videos of people talking to dogs, many times they give indication that, they understand us!

What do you think?

I really enjoy going horseback riding. I used to take lessons back when I was a kid. :)

I think that people who kick horses and yank at their reins obviously don't know how to ride. You don't have to be mean to a horse to get it to do what you want it to do,.. being firm and being aggressive are two entirely different things coming from an experienced rider.

Well you do kick them on the sides to tell them, go, giddyup! But I see in videos that many people kick them too hard. Sure it's a big tough horse but you don't have to hurt them to let them know to go. And I remember using my legs on the horse to guide him. Nudge left, nudge right, and like that. It works at least as good as pulling the reins. Once a horse and rider can communicate with each other, then riding gets easier for all and the ride is better then. But many in the videos obviously do not know these things...

A light tap or squeeze is a lot different than a kick. Just like pulling on the reins is quite a bit different than yanking on them. I'm not a huge fan of horsewhips but even there you don't have to whip the horse too hard to get them to listen to you.

I never needed a horse whip. I think those are for people who do not know how to communicate with the animal and so get impatient and crack the whip. The horses usually will be submissive and do what they want. And other times, they're like, I'm not putting up with this, BOOM! And kick them! I watch a lot of the Rifleman reruns, and I watch how they handle horses, and most the time, hardly anyone does it right! And they supposed to be cowboys and know this stuff!

At first, I thought, I am no expert on horses, but looking at other people...maybe I am!
I think that young Mark McCain was better with horses than his daddy, Luke!

I've had a few horses that I've ridden where they needed a light tap with a horsewhip to listen but I always wanted that to be my last result. I know that I personally wouldn't want to be whipped or kicked and I would probably want to kick or throw off my rider if I was a horse. I also recently heard that bits aren't good for horses either. I forgot exactly why but I think that it has something to do with their teeth.

You might like this! I heard a man giving testimony about a vision or a visitation and he got to ride in a Chariot of God, and it was pulled by a horse, but no reins or way to control the horse. And he was thinking about this before he got into the chariot, and I guess the horse sensed his questions and hesitations about it so said to him, no control is needed. The bond is Love. And so he went. And all he had to do is think where he wanted to go, and the horse just went. I think I believe this testimony. It sounds like how it would be!

There is one seagull at the dock and im sure it's demon possessed. Everytime I go there it tries to attack me consitently it doesn't stop for hours, and all the other birds are mellow and chill, it's got serious anger issues. Its possessed by a devil. This one single seagull just hates me for some reason, all the other seagulls like me.

Niger, lol.the horse that drank beer and also bites.

I'm sorry, I feel bad for you and all but the way you wrote this was hysterical! Sounds like a horror/comedy film. :hysterical XD!

Oh, I don't know about that. Our horses are far from abused. In fact, I'd say they are closer to spoiled rotten, but that's just my opinion. For the most part our horses are very humble, at least with those they are very familiar with.

We have four horses here, three mares and one gelding. They are basically my wife's pets and I don't do a whole lot with them other than provide hay and spread manure. Last week while my wife was away, I was taking care of them and one day I was walking a bucket of grain out for our horses when all of a sudden I nearly got kicked for no reason at all. She missed my kneecap by just inches and knocked the bucket out of my hands.

You can't just be around our horses without keeping at least one eye on them constantly because they will push boundaries.

Mules are worse .

If a moderator wants me to delete this I will,.. but otherwise I just have to say this. You know what's so bad about donkeys? They can be such jackasses. XD!

A,mule isn't a donkey ,a mule is a cross between the donkey and a horse .he has the strength of the horse and height and is a male ,he is more sure footed then a horse like a donkey .

I,know ,we used them in places where horses were less likely to be used.even in bad snowy days these would loose ground and tumble to,their death.lost one that way .
