WASHINGTON—A three-month investigation by The Epoch Times of 41,000 hours of U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) surveillance video has uncovered dramatic footage that in many cases challenges longstanding narratives about what took place on Jan. 6, 2021.
Since late April, the newspaper has analyzed hundreds of hours of video that was previously hidden from public view.

The narrative, on January 6th Trump supporters stormed the capital and invaded the capital building. Trump's speech egged on a large group to march down to the capital and enter the congress building and causing the certification of the 2020 election to be delayed.

Several members of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys ( Larger supporters of Trump) coordinated the invasion of the Capital building.

Whether or not most of the people who entered the capital were just milling about, several people were injured, several people conspired to get ahold of several congress members and Pence, and the election certification was delayed. Trump is responsible due to his constant egging on of his base that the election was stolen and because he told his followers to go to the Capitol. This resulted in several protesters being injured or dead. Several police officers being injured, and some died later due to injury.
