Bible Study Exodus Timeline

Exodus tells us the story of Moses, and how he led the slaves out of Egypt and through the wilderness.
We know that Moses was a Prince of Egypt for 40 years, then spent 40 years tending sheep.
What I am looking for is a timeline that begins with the very first time that Moses went to the Pharoah and gave him God's message "Let my people go" to the day that Israel left Egypt.

How long did it take for the ten plagues to manifest?
Do you have any information on the time span between any of the plagues?

Gabby,
Here is an article that is a fantastic study that I hope you find helpful.

Here’s a 12 paged detail on the plagues and the Egyptian gods that were challanged by each plague.
Godshttp://www.padfield.com/acrobat/his ... _egypt.pdf

On page 10, Padfield summarizes:

I. Overview of the plagues: “June: the Nile becomes stagnant and red, with microscopic organisms. July: Frogs abound after the inundation of the Nile. Hot summer and damp autumn months: Lice, flies, murrain and boils. January: Hail and rain. (This date fixed by the effect on the crops mentioned). February: Appearance of locusts in early spring, over the green crops. March: Darkness from great sandstorms. April: Death of the firstborn, dated by the Passover celebration.†(Davis, p. 43)

II. The story of the plagues is summarized in Psalm 78:44-51 and 1-5:28-36

III. After the plagues, Pharaoh released the children of Israel (Exo. 12:31-37)
A. After three months they came to Sinai (Exo. 19-24)
B. When Israel believed the report of the evil spies and refused to enter Canaan, God caused them to wonder in the wilderness for forty years (Num. 14)
C. After the death of Moses (Deut. 34), Joshua led the people into Canaan.

Not a problem Gabby. I first read about the plagues and the egyptian god's they challanged about 10 years ago when I read a very good book called "Men of the Promise" (great read btw).

That led me to do some other studies and I found this guy a couple years ago. (Ironically he's Church of Christ lol... suppose most won't visit the page now  ).

That aside, it's a facinating read. I also have a book called Near Eastern text by Pritchard that has much to say from original tablets etc from Egypt to the annals of the kings mentioned in Chronicles and Kings.

Oh well, enjoy your reading!
