I realize I am one of the heretics, unbelievers on this forum. But I want to ask you to pray for me.

I feel empty inside. Like there is no purpose to my life.

So, please pray that I can find purpose with my existence.
 
Father in heaven.
I come before your throne of grace with much thanksgiving. I thank you father for your faithfulness and for Jesus who intercedes for us and for those who would call upon your name with moans and groans that words can't describe.
Father right now I bring Gendou Ikari before you and ask that you would reveal your goodness and love for him, that you will give him a clear path to fallow, that he will find purpose in life, A life you have for him. I pray dear God that you will settle your peace and that even now as this request goes up on his behalf, that you would settle your peace within him and that you will give him rest.. I pray dear Jesus that he will sleep in peace. Protect him Lord. I pray in Jesus Name.

Thank you jgredline. Regardless of me saying you have a "dead heart," you are a pretty good guy, in the end. I do love all of you or at least I am doing my best to love all of you; being human is hard.

I have been praying for you for sometime now, because I have notice some changes in you since you first came here. I pray that you find the Truth. Being human is hard. I think the Psalms are a good place to see that it is hard, but that God is our hope...our purpose.

I don't want to tell you what to think, or believe, or that even if you find the Truth of God that all of your sufferings, and problems, will go away...they won't. But, I know, from my own life that He is able to help us endure, and keep us from feeling empty, and purpose-less. This will go away.

Gendou, have you ever heard this little Sunday School truth?

J = Jesus First
O= Others second
Y = Yourself last

I know very simple, and not scholarly at all, but it is so profoundly true. Even if you do not completely have all the answers to your questions, keep your faith if you have even a little...and cling. If not, ask for it, and you will receive it. Maybe your soul, and mind, are cluttered with questions, and theories, but lacking the joy, and peace, of being focused on Him, and serving Him.

I pray that God will help you in this, and draw you to Him, and allow you the joy, and peace, of knowing that you are His, and serve His purpose...which is ultimate fulfillment. The Lord bless you.
 
I want to thank all of you for trying to help me, but my future does not lie in Christianity - at least I don't believe it does. Church will not solve my problems; I've been to church.

The closest I'll ever get to heaven is to Love someone, whether a wife, daughter, son, more than myself and be willing to die for them. It is funny, maybe the only thing which will give my life purpose is the willingness to die.
 
Our Father in Heaven,
I pray earnestly at this time for our dear friend and member of this forum, Gendou Ikari. It is times like he is currently experiencing that each of us pass through, and it gives us time to contemplate the items of importance in our lives. Please give Gendou Ikari peace during his time of reflection so that he can hear you speak to him. Guide him into all truth, and guard him from all lies. I pray that you would bind any negative act or action against him from this point on, and that your angels would minister to him as you draw him closer to you than he has ever been. Nourish him from your abundant table of purpose and clear his eyes for spiritual sight; open his ears to hear the joy unspeakable at the following of Jesus Christ. May you help him release the yoke of his life, and instead give his burden to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour. Bring Gendou Ikari into your Kingdom so that he may see your purpose for his life. These things are prayed in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ, and it is in your will that I pray.

I ask you to take this good person, Gendou Ikari and help him find his purpose and help him find a spirituality that will fill him. Lord I pray that he will find the truth, even if he does describe himself as a "heretic" to the christian faith. Let his search for purpose and truth be solved in you.

I have been to three different churches already. Like I have said, there are too many unanswered questions for me in Christianity.
 
Unfortunately I don't think you are going to be able to prove or disprove Chrisitanity by finding answers to hundreds of questions that don't make sense to you. That's why it's called faith.

What kind / type of churches have you visited?
What city and state do u live in?
Perhaps I or someone here can direct you to a bible believeing / teaching church.. Be careful with denominations. Some are good, but most are not..

I've been to Roman Catholic, Baptist, and non-denominational churches. It isn't the type of Church that is going to make the difference. If I was looking for a church to fulfill me it would be a Universal Reconciliationist church, anyway. Three are things within the Scriptures, that I cannot reconcile.
