Femininity And Modesty

This is obviously a matter of preference. While modest is biblical, dressing "feminine" is not. Dresses vs. jeans are totally a cultural thing. Both can be worn modestly by women, and if anything jeans and a baggy shirt deemphasize the sexuality of a woman more than a dress does. Sometimes jeans are inappropriately sloppy...that's when women can choose between a dress and a nice pair of slacks with a blouse.

dresses aren't very comfortable and we shouldn't have to wear them all the time. By saying that I'm not supposed to wear jeans and a t-shirt, then you are saying that it's wrong for women to play sports and games that involve running. There's no way I'm giving up basketball and soccer.

Luk 14:26 If any [man] come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple.

Luk 14:27 And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple.

Luk 14:33 So likewise, whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he hath, he cannot be my disciple.

I have the feeling that this includes basket ball and soccer.

I love my jeans but I also love the beauty that we as Weomen are able to posesse with modesty in a beautiful simple dress. In a way I believe that wemen today have lost some of their identy by trying to hard for equality. I love dress. Dresses can make you feel beautiful and special. Modesty is a great thing. Beauty comes from God but rember he did give us things that allow his master pice to be admired. :B-fly:

I despise WEARING dresses. I love them and have many skirts and dresses, but I'm so "leggy" and my legs are so boney. I don't ever wear them. And I don't like many ankle length dresses. I just don't feel comfortable in dresses. I am very active...always moving around...sometimes getting the urge to do the crab crawl or do a cartwheel out of nowhere.

Yeah...I'm weird.

I'll just stick with my jeans, courderoys ( I'm sure I spelled that wrong...lol) and other pants.

I have chrons disease and for years it kept me so thin that my legs were very bony! I am also VERY leggy and finaly this yr I am at the weight I am suposed to be so all is well! :Fade-color :B-fly:
