Match the "Patron Saint" from the following list to his/her official "cause" in the second list...

St. Joseph of Arimathea/Nicodemus
St. Fiacre
St. Anthony the Abbott (has 2 "causes" - ran low on saints?)
St. Nicholas
St. Roch
St. Dymphna
St. Martin de Porrese
St. Martin of Tours
St. John (The Baptist)
St. Joseph of Cupertino
St. Polycarp
St. Isidore of Seville
St. Martha
St. Amand/St. Vincent of Saragossa

patron saint of...UNDERTAKERS
patron saint of...SKIN DISEASES (handle statuette carefully)

patron saint of...GRAVEDIGGERS
patron saint of...WINE TRADE (my personal favorite :P )

...and, last, but possibly MOST needed -

patron saint of...INSANITY

(first one to match all 15 correctly receives 14,397 years off from Pergatory )

P.S. - pay special attention to signature quote below

What is the point of this? Why are you slandering the Saints?

Am I slandering the saints, or am I poking fun at the system that would apply saints to "causes" or vice-versa? Don't you find the appointment of patron saints to "gravediggers" and "earaches" even the LEAST bit humorous? (it's not like I'M making this stuff up)

Hey -do you think they might offer 2 different patron saint medallions for the price of one for gravediggers WITH earaches?

Okay - I made THAT up, but this subject is just BEGGING for it. :bday:

thanks for the time off in purgatory, you know maybe you should look into that teaching as well as patron saints.

All believers are saints. The patron saint thing is unbiblical...

Romans 1:7 To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Take it from me. I was born and raised in the Catholic Church. The only thing Catholics will accept is what they want to accept.

The only Catholics that have sound doctrine are ex-Catholics.

Hmmm...

nope - still funny

While I don't agree with the whole patron saint thing and find it to be completely un-Biblical, I am concerned that the only reason you posted this is for flaming.
