I never thought much about fisheye lenses, but I got a pretty good one for not much money. Went over to Grandscape to see what I could do. While I was there, they were setting up a tent stage for a performance of His Story.
Directed by two-time Tony nominee Jeff Calhoun (Newsies, Bonnie & Clyde), the production will begin performances May 5, 2023, at the new Broadway Tent at Grandscape. Opening night is May 18.

In the contemporary pop musical based on the life of Jesus, a common man arrives in the big city and defies expectations. He performs miracles and speaks great wisdom, but hangs out in the wrong part of town. Mocked by the establishment, he is adored by the people.

“I have worked on 17 Broadway musicals, but nothing prepared me for the shock and awe of meeting this truly amazing artist, Anna Brown,” says director Calhoun. “Anna’s Gen Z perspective has made this familiar story youthful and contemporary …not exactly adjectives I had previously associated with the Bible. I am excited to use the theatre to bring all types of people together to share a message that is so needed in today’s climate. My prayer is that once you experience His Story The Musical, you will leave the theatre with a renewed optimism about the potential of humanity.”

I thought that the upper level would be a good spot to get the Ferris wheel. They kindly allowed me to do that.

It is possible to get (fairly) straight lines with a fisheye lens...
