Did I say that theTV church where I live has been for sale for months & that I'd been praying for the right move before the forecast worst winter in @ 10 yrs - see Make Homelessness History thread @ General Talk forum
Anyway, I just want to use the 10 mins left here to praise God for His wonderful provision & amazing sense of humour :multi:
Readers of our Poetry forum know my keenness on creative writing, yes?
Well, Sefton Council offered me - 2 weeks ago - a sheltered flat in Milton St, Bootle, & said if they didn't vhear from me in 2 days, they'd offer it to someone else
I'd thought that it was near the proposed legal red light district, so I bid for a flat near Formby Christian Fellowship on the deadline day
Heard nothing till 2 days ago, the council asked me to come & view Milton St
Noticing it's off Chaucer St, I just couldn't resist a look
Turns out it's also opposite Coleridge St - & within 2/3 mins' walk of Wordsworth..Tennyson..Shelley...& as @ half a mile away - right next door to the nearest surgery - is Poets' Park - I think you could say I'll be in my element from Monday!
:
Also, as an ex-pro entertainer, I was thrilled to see I'm @ 5 mins' walk from Space - Sefton Performing Arts & Creative Education....
so...
I may even learn to do it right!! :D
Praise God, eh? 8-)
