I love flying wish I was a pilot so I have to do the next best thing and that is simulation. And when I add some more RAM I am going to get X Plane

I wonder how many terrorists are using those simulators?

I'd heard the ones that hit the World Trade Center did part of their training on the Microsoft Flight Simulator. According to one of the designers, the programing in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 10 is the same programing used in the professional flight simulators used to train commercial pilots. The big difference is the speed and power of the computers that run it and the complexity of the equipment they control. But even on a home desktop it's possible to get very realistic by adding on various programs and aircraft beyond what you get with just the basic simulator.

Yes the Microsoft Sims are good very good but I think X Plane has taken over, now I think that the government will still use Microsoft. Now on a home computer if you max out your RAM and have a fast enough CPU a 2 G and up you can do the same thing that the government does as far as running the application, and the real serious guys use triple monitors.

I am running it under Linux taylor

II Corinthians 12:3
And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;)
4 How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

Scripture simulator: where during study, the scripture is so real you can not tell if you are in a virtual cockpit or the reality cockpit. LOL

I don't keep up with the digital mag much any more but it just floors me that he seems not to know. Even my young pastor calls me the oldest techy he knows of and except for MS employees all the other nerds I deal with are running one of the, better than, one thousand flavors of Linux and all I associate with that have a love of flying fly on their Linux to practice because Flight Gear is so very real when set properly.

I'm back on Ubuntu 14.04 on all three of mine, what flavor do you run, tech nerd friend of mine? HEY! You and I will run the Network for God on the New Earth and as soon as I go home I'll let Him know, for sure, you and I volunteer, cool?

At fí®st I updated every 6 months but I missed one and had to do a fresh install to get back in line and now I stick with the long term versions now. I run XP in the Virtual Box and actually use it once or twice a year.
