The cat and the dog is in on this one at least they said the grace first:lol. I had a cat around 30 years ago eat a good portion of my Thanksgiving turkey that I left out thawing on the kitchen counter.

I did not have a problem with my dog but I had to watch my cat like a hawk.She could jump very high.I never wanted to leave anything on the counters.
 
My cat gets into EVERYTHING. We even have to put the bread where he can't jump high enough to reach it. When I take it down, he'll take any opportunity to tear the bag open, including right in front of me when I'm holding it in my hand.
My dog doesn't steal food, but if it's on the floor he considers it fair game. So if they cat knocks something on the floor, they'll both eat it.
