Why do frogs need to breath through their skin? Answer, God wanted it that way. 8-) It's good enough for me.

Yes, but allowing frogs to breathe through their skin isn't as torturous as forcing a creature to live in an enviroment that doesn't even satisfy his basic needs. I just find it hard to believe that God would purposefully create such hardships for creatures.

so humans can see them.

Then why don't fish need to surface to breathe?

What does it matter? Is this supposed to be some sort of argument against Creation?

Perhaps it has something to do with whales being mammals...

Maybe keebs can design a better whale!

After having seen the whales recently around the Cape during the whale season, I love them the way God designed them. They are awesome!

(....and to think that evolutionists believe that whales are decedents of the amoeba!)

Known as the heart of the whale route, the seaside resort of Hermanus in Walker Bay offers the best land based whale watching in the world.

A cliff path stretching from the one side of the town to the other, hugs the coastline for about 12 km giving whale watchers unlimited opportunities to study and get within 20 m of the gentle giants in the coves below or lolling just beyond the breakers. Telescopes situated alongside the Old Harbour Museum makes it possible to survey the entire Walker Bay and the whales and dolphins at close range.

The only Whale Crier in the world is not only a major attraction but keeps visitors informed as to the whereabouts of the whales as he does his rounds through town every day. The sound of his kelp horn has become a characteristic of the charm of this seaside resort during the whale season.

Other excellent whale watching spots include Betty's Bay, Kleinmond, De Kelders (a favourite viewing spot when the Southeaster blows - providing perfect shelter), Gansbaai, and De Hoop Nature Reserve beyond Struisbaai that is a favourite calving area and the largest concentration of whales is often found here.

The whales seen most frequently along the Overberg coastal areas are the Southern Right whales, that have been protected internationally since 1935, but other species do make an appearance occasionally. Southern Right whales can be distinguished from other whales from its V-shaped 'blow' and the callosities which appear around its head. They start arriving in May in order to calf in the shallow water, to raise their young or to mate. Peak times for seeing whales daily is from August to November, tailing off in December. Bryde's whales live year-round on the continental shelf.

Joke topic.(?)

Okay, I get it now. I think.

1. Whales are mammals.

2.Mammals cannot breath air underwater.

3.Humans are mammals.

4.So, therefore, humans are somehow related to whales.

5.Humans can breath air underwater, so, 2 is not completely correct.

6.All this deciding who is related to who relies on way too many assumptions.

7.Whales seem to thrive well enough.....

8.Humans thrive way better.

9.I may have missed the point of this topic.

Maybe keebs can design a better whale!

Umm yeah...give them gills.

And Darck Marck, the thread has nothing to do with humans...

Oh, then it's about proving God didn't create whales, because they lack gills???!!!??!

Besides, I prefer God's design to keeb's design. If whales had gills, we would never see wonderful sights like this.....

Back to the drawing board keebs..... you are not as good as God yet!

:bday: :bday:

What? Since when was seeing a Whale sneeze a wonderful sight? The best part is when they jump.
How would them having gills be detrimental?

God created gills, and God created whales. Why He created things the way He did is for his to know and us to find out. 8-)

Ahhh, so you like to force inconveniences on other living beings for your own pleasure...

Keebs, since when did you become a whale and find out this inconveniences the creature. You can't speak to the way an animal feels anymore than I can.

Whales would be greatly improved with gills. However, they evolved from air-breathing mammals.

Creationism has no explanation for a fish-looking animal without gills. But it's very clear if you study God's creation and accept the way He actually did it.

Yeah it does, they just haven't seen the whale evolve, so they don't assume it, they beleive whales were created(a little more or less perhaps) in their current form. What's wrong, you think God couldn't do it?
