Friends, John 3:16 can lead to great unity in Christ. Unless one introduces a doctrine of men, like Calvinism. It simply reads that whoever believes in Christ can be saved, will be saved, in God's mercy. It doesn't say there are some who can't believe. We read, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
It said God loved the world; not merely the elect. It says WHOSOEVER believeth (is believing) in Christ. What could be clearer: no child of God needs to be a Calvinist. In Erie PA Scott Harrington![003_praying :praying :praying](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/prayer.gif)
