I'm becoming now a "man of a certain age." As I feel and see the results of advancing age, I'm impressed by people for whom growing old gracefully seems easy. I've noticed some women particularly seem to stay classy and elegant as they age. I'd better say right off the bat, if I know what's good for me, that my wife is such a woman...and she is.

But, I'm thinking also about another woman, an actress I've always admired, Charlotte Rampling. She was beautiful as a young woman, and now as a woman "of a certain age" I find Charlotte still beautiful, with the sadness and wisdom of age expressing themselves in Charlotte's face.

Reba, you are, in part, responsible for this thread. When I saw your thread titled Ramblings Of a Retired Mind, I first read it Ramplings of a Retired Mind.

Kim hye-ja, strikes me as the epitome of grace and poise, especially when she played the dowager empress in "Princess Hours".

I hope to be like that when I'm in my 70s...
