Have you ever been on a judgmental high horse? I think I posted this topic months ago, but I can't find it. I was just gonna add that lately, some here come accross as very judgmental. I won't list names, but it is a topic I would like to have discussed. Should Christians be judgmental? Is it Biblical?

No, no one should be judgmental, we all know "judge not lest you be judged", but I think it's fair to say that myself and everyone else in this world, Christian or not, is judgmental at one time or another!

Here is the deal:

Matthew 7:1 is often misused and misunderstood. In context, Jesus is speaking to unconverted Jews. By perverting the law as they did, they themselves transgressed the law and had no right to judge anyone under these conditions. Paul then goes on to explain judging to the Corinthians.

1 Cor 5

12 For what have I to do with judging those also who are outside? Do you not judge those who are inside?
13 But those who are outside God judges. Therefore “put away from yourselves the evil person.†(NKJV)

What Paul is saying is, those outside the church are His to judge. We are to judge those within the church. It's our duty to hold each and every brother and sister in Christ accountable and their duty to hold us accountable. Accountability in our lives helps refine us and makes us better witnesses for Jesus.
