Hello From New Zealand the Land that sees the New Day First

Hi, greetings from New Zealand officially the outer most parts of the earth and the nation that is the furthest away from Jerusalem. I have been a Christian for just coming up 30 years and I am both excited and sad about the state of the modern Church. I am excited because my God is a God that turns dry bones in to living people and the Church certainly needs some of that. Sadden by the general apathy that pervades the Church and the whole "entertain" the people that seems to operate in most Churches.

Young people struggle to see the point in God compared to a world that allows them to do as they please (even though it costs them heaps). My current project is developing a book series aimed at the everyday Christian and the searching non-believer. The book series is called "The God Conversation Series" and has been designed to be like a conversation between a mentor and his student over a cup of coffee. It is not meant to be a theology study but is most certainly looking to address the questions that we as Christians are asked or ask ourselves. I have nearly finished the first book which will be up on Amazon in the next 2-3 weeks.

The book is called "God: A Question of Evil" If God is such a loving God why does He allow all the suffering, pain and evil to continue?

I will be selling the book for $4.95 on Amazon Kindle but will be more than happy to offer free copies in exchange for a review. I will let everyone know when the book is live and when they can download it for FREE!

This book deals with the consequences of sin, God's perspective and coping strategies that enable us to deal with the pain and suffering we all face in a world that has both good and evil in it.

I have found that the basic grounding of what God's Word tells us about how to live an abundant and significant live has been lost under the deluge of knowledge and information. The purpose of the series is to provide a pathway for our journey to develop a personal relationship with the creator of the universe that will last from the time we are saved until we walk into His arms in eternity.

I look forward to this forum and I am pleased that I am now a member.
