[__ Prayer __] Help and Prayers

Hello, whoever is reading this.


May I ask- how do you get Jesus to connect with you on the level so you really FEEL it. I know he is listening but there is something that is on my mind that is entirely important to me. I have constantly prayed that I pass the recent test that I took to get into a great high school and believe me that test was difficult. I even brought my bible with me and placed it in my bag. I was extremely scared, and now that it's over, I am anxious to see the results. I've also prayed that two of my very close friends who I love deeply passes this test and they believe that God will allow them to. But I say to you, how do I get connected with the Lord that will allow me to know that the passing of this test was made for me and it's according to his will?

I am not comfortable in my current high school and I constantly pray that God has guided me through this test to come out of it successfully, so that I will be a part of that excellent new high school. Help?

welcome to Christian forums . I'm in high school aswell and I know that it's pretty hard and I've prayed that I could pass some exams and I've passed them. I don't know how can I answer to your question but even if you get F grade, you shouldn't be worried because everything has a meaning. Sorry, I'm not good at this. God bless you

Hi infinitejewel. I do not know that I can give you an answer you are comfortable with, but you do talk of God's will, and I do hope you are willing to accept God's decision. We read in 1 John 5:14, "And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us." It is not that God cannot hear us, but that He may have something better for us as he did with the Apostle Paul when he asked three times to have the thorn in his flesh removed in 1 Corinthians 12:8 "For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness."

Would you be satisfied with such a response from God? I think through our life in Christ we all ask these questions, and yet with experience I have never seen the Lord make a wrong choice for me, and He won't do you wrong as to your choice of schools either.

The realization of our closeness with God comes from faith, and that comes one way as Romans 10:17 tells us; "So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." I do hope I haven't given you the impression we shouldn't boldly go to God's throne of grace as we read of in Hebrews 4:16. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need."

You are doing well to occupy until He comes as you prepare and live your life, but at the same time continue to grow in grace and knowledge of our Lord, study to show you approved unto God, and believe and trust Him to always do that which is right for you. Romans 8:28 says it like this: "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Are you called to God's purpose? You being in Christ I know you are.

Dear Father, You hear her request, You know her heart, You know her need, and what's the best for her. Please direct her in all her ways that will prosper her walk and be in Your perfect will for her. I praise You for these things and thank You for hearing me in Jesus' precious name. Amen.
