I found 2 fossils in the last 4 months that i cannot identify.

The first one here i found on the shoreline near the bottom of a cliff that was composed of igneous rock and ash. The entire area were i live is all metamorphic in its geology. So the only way i can see that this fossil would be here is by A. being buried under ash or B. been brought here as ballast for the old ships, they dumped all the rock they used in the harbor from other countries.

I think its a Pitar, but i am not sure.

The second was found on Lake Michigan in August. It looks like scales.

I have only ever found 3 fossils in my life,2 by my home and one in Ontario. Hopefully when i move to norman well NWT next year i will find more, there is a place 5 kms away from the town that's called fossil canyon, that sounds promising. http://www.normanwells.com/ if you look at the welcome page its all fossils too :D Looks like my rock pick, brushes, chisel and hand lenses are coming with me ;)
