Recognizing triggers is a very useful ability

I told my family members that if either one of us becomes angry in a conversation we should discontinue the exchange, I would try to anyway.
They agreed. When one of us looses their cool the conversation can only go south. Nothing good has ever come from angry conversation between us.

It's best to separate, gather your thoughts and emotions, sleep on it and try again if necessary
