ESTHER is someone I have always looked up to, since Sunday School. Esther used her beauty as a tool to gain favor with King Ahasuerus, which ultimately positioned her to save the Jewish people. Remember that she was actually chosen as queen for her exceptional beauty, and won the king’s heart, giving her influence in the royal court. When her people were threatened by Haman’s decree of extermination, Esther risked her life by approaching the king uninvited—an act punishable by death. She wisely invited the king and Haman to banquets, using charm and patience to create the perfect moment to reveal her Jewish identity and expose Haman’s plot. Her beauty, combined with intelligence and courage, helped her gain the king’s favor, leading to Haman’s downfall and the salvation of the Jewish people.
