HOW TO WORSHIP GOD
Part 4
Or how God did NOT ordain the form of worship service that is commonly advanced by MANY churches today.
God is Spirit, and so those that worship Him MUST worship Him in spirit and in truth (Jn 4:24). For now true worshippers SHALL worship the Father in spirit and in truth, because the Father is seeking such to worship Him (4:23); Without which you don’t know what you are worshipping (4:22); Especially IF you are “allegedly†worshipping God from some place (on earth) (4:21-20); Meaning; in a temple/church that has an altar built by men’s hands where God does NOT dwell, you are in ignorance because you are worshipping an unknown god (Acts 17:24-23,2 5-28). The times of your ignorance (concerning worshipping an unknown god) God has winked at, but NOW is commanding you to Repent of this ignorance! (Acts 17:30).
The word “spirit†does not refer to the Holy Spirit but to the human spirit. Jesus’ point here is that a person must worship not simply by external conformity to religious rituals and places (outwardly) but inwardly (in spirit) with the proper attitude. The reference to “truth†refers to worship of God consistent with the revealed Scripture and centered on the “Word made flesh†who reveals the Father (Jn 14:6) This is why God tells us to NOT believe every spirit, but “test the spirits†to see whether they are of God, because there are MANY false prophets around us today (1Jn 4:1).
All the supplies [the fruits] of the Spirit of Jesus Christ are in this good will [“pure motiveâ€] of the gospel, which has the sincerity of Love [which is not corrupted by anger, impatience, or lust](Phil 1:19 and 15-17). All of this is so that hope might have expectation (for God to work these good things in us)(1:20); Meaning;- the life with fruit in spirit and in truth [this is why it is said that those who ARE Christs have already crucified the lusts and affections of their flesh see Gal 5:24] so that we might be brought abiding together for the joy of faith (1:21-22 and 27, 18 and 25).
ARE YOU STANDING IN ONE SPIRIT TOGETHER? (Phil 1:27) IF so, then you have the comfort of love as the consolation in Christ because you are in a fellowship of the Spirit (2:1). Those who are likeminded can love as one, because they are of one mind, which can have this joy fulfilled (2:2); because THESE are continuing in the apostles doctrine (of grace, God at work) (Ac 2:42); which teaching comes from a God sent teacher to perfect His children so that they could DO the work of the ministry unto others (Eph 4:11-12).
ARE YOU IN THIS GOOD COMFORT TOGETHER? (Phil 2:19) IF so, then your without disputes or complaining [against these good things] (2:14). Jesus was of THIS too, so that He could have the worship service (2:5 and 7). All of this is within God’s work, which IS for His good pleasure (2:13). NO ONE SHOULD REBUKE THOSE OF GOD FOR THIS JOY, WHICH IS IN THE COMFORTING LOVE OF ONE ANOTHER (2:15 and 2-1). Now this way of truth IS evil spoken of by those who are in the way of Baal/devil (2Pet 2:2 and 15); Which other way loves money and has the covetous practices of possession, which is sin unto adultery [these believers are those who separate themselves from people] (2:15-14).
The very center of covetousness IS possessing (Lk 12:15). Any man looking at any other woman with this lust is committing adultery (Mat 5:28). The law said do not commit adultery in its accursed presentation (5:27). Jesus defines this accursedness all the way down to LOOKING (5:28). Now the blessed presentation is in the more excellent way of love that rejoices in the truth (1Cor 12:31 and 13:6); Which is without the jealous possessiveness of covetousness with its evil eye in all the foolishness of prides deceitful love, which is merely the lasciviousness that blasphemes those that it steals true love from (Mk 7:22).
The wickedness of this covetousness is found in its envious debate that deceives strangers into its cancerous fornication (Rom 1:29). Fornication is defined as disrespecting so-called love, which is without affection, and is just for pleasure (1:29-32). This disrespectful pleasure seeking breaks all covenants and enters into the judgment of God (1:32-30). It’s NOT right to use a woman in this burning lust, because it leads to more shame! (1:27). This lusty pleasure seeking from women is NOT natural, and is against nature, because it’s the vile affection unto worshipping a woman MORE than the Creator (1:26-25).
THIS CORRUPTION COMES FROM FOOLISH MEN WHO CANNOT GLORIFY GOD
(1:23 and 21). The darkness of being in the above madness IS the vanity (of using each other) through lusts, which IS upon those who live in ERROR (2Pet 2:16-18). THE PROMISED LIBERTY (TO LOVE) IS NOT INTO PRACTICING COVETOUSNESS (2:19 and 14). Lasciviousness is the result of this greedy possessiveness, which is without the feelings of love in the truth (Eph 4:19 and 15). Rather we are to be in the feast (of love Jd 1:12) (2Pet 2:13).
THESE ways are NOT the fruits of Love (Jd 1:12). Through these things [possessive greediness, which includes gainsaying], we corrupt ourselves into speaking evil of the things (of love), that we don’t understand/are not standing for (1:10), AND this causes contending and disputing with false accusations (1:9). Those in the defilement of their flesh [users and takers], speak evil of the dignities who are in the feast of love (1:8 and 12). Fornication is reserved for strangers (1:7). Those who are in all of this uncleanness of fornication; which is in all of its inordinate affection, IS in {concupiscence} “GROSS LUSTâ€; which is in all of its covetous possessiveness ARE in idolatry (Col 3:5). THIS IS how grace is turned into lasciviousness (Jd 1:4).
Rather than have (this inordinate dominion of jealous men), be in the dominion of the feast of love in the fruit of love, (which does not flatter you into some possessive lust) (Jd 1:8,4, and 12); Which gracious dominion has been delivered to the saints that Love (1:4, 8, 3, and 12). This mercy is with you for (the heavenly) peace, when this sainted love is greatly multiplied among you (1:2 and 12); Wherein the saints nurse you gently within their affectionate cherishing of you (1Thes 2:7-8). In THIS gentleness, they are said to be great; because they have been made great by God (2Sam 22:36). This is in the perfect way, which God has strengthened them to walk in (22:33-34). This way of God IS perfect, because in it we can leap over the wall of darkness as a light which shows this way (22:31-29). Show this to the PROUD, who have unsavory deeds [lusts/works for love], so that they might be brought down/humbled (22:27-28). Nothing can be THIS pure to those who are defiled, in unbelief towards THIS (Tit 1:15).
Those who are being called to God’s kingdom in glory, need to be both exhorted (into this truth), so that they can have this comfort (1Thes 2:12-11). The key word here is covetousness, where damnation is found, when the above way is evil spoken of (2Pet 2:3-2). Beholding the Majesty of the Lord Jesus Christ [before we die] is NOT some story/lie (1:16). THIS IS a sure thing PROVIDING the entrance is ministered to us abundantly (1:19 and 11); Which entrance is only THROUGH the brotherly kindness, which is abounding in Love (1:7-8); By a God sent preacher (Rom 10:15).
