How I got To Be A Pentecostal Believer?

Being Pentecostal and part of the Pentecostal movement is the last or third part of God's predetermined plan to restore mankind to Himself due to sin which is disobedience toward God's command. This originally happened in the garden when Eve was beguiled by the serpent. (the fall of man).

1.God (the Father) was present in the O/T and during the creation of the first covenant, the law and the prophets. The old testament prophets had a glimpse of what God had in mind for mankind in the future (which included Israel and the gentiles) through the promised messiah who was predestined to come

2. Jesus the Messiah (The Son) came down, born by a woman. He taught his followers many things and promised that he will send a helper when he returns to his Father. The helper (The Holy Spirit) will dwell in us and be with us forever. After fulfilling the law and the prophets Jesus sat down on the right hand of God as the high priest forever, interceding on behalf for all those who believe him by faith.

His death and resurrection brought about the ability for us to be forgiven of sin (even the gentiles who believe in him by faith) and made clean by his blood. He also gave us the promised Holy Spirit which is the seal of our redemption.

3.The Holy Spirit manifested himself in the book of Acts 2 (although he had been here prior to pentecost, to help other prophets and people of God) to execute his powerful anointing and distribute his gifts to those who believed in Jesus by faith including gifts for the working of the ministry and the building up of the body of Christ. (through the salvation of souls) according to the will of God.

The Holy Spirit teaches us all things. He will convict us and bring us to place of repentance when needed, forgiveness when needed, He will reveal things hidden in the darkness, He will provide a way where there is no way, He will open and close doors and help us on a daily basis, to be all we can be for God's kingdom and his glory.

The Godhead....is the indwelling Holy Spirit which includes the Father, his Son and the Spirit himself.

Please note: This is only an overview and does not include a lot of detail as I was following the path of Gods predetermined plan for mankind and where we are today. Blessings and Peace

Yes He will. And it's interesting you should tie His daily mercy and forgiveness to revealing things hidden in darkness and opening doors formerly closed. The Holy Spirit is the primary means of His abiding with us at all times; of speaking to us and teaching us all things as Jesus and the apostles promised.

This is the epitome of why many call Christianity a relationship and not just a religion. He speaks to us daily. He leads us daily. He forgives us daily. He comforts us daily. He provides, warns, and protects. Ours is the Greatest God, and there is none like Him. We will be rewarded for willfully becoming His servants, and making Him Lord over our lives by trusting Him with all He has given us.

Excellent post, and I hope you post more here with us.

Blessings in Christ Jesus,
Hidden In Him
