Human Wisdom

[1Co 2:1-7
[1] And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God.
[2] For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
[3] I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling.
[4] And my speech and my preaching [were] not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
[5] that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. [
6] However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
[7] But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden [wisdom] which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
[1Co 1:17-21, 23-27
[17] For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
[18] For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
[19] For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, And bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent."
[20] Where [is] the wise? Where [is] the scribe? Where [is] the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?
[21] For since, in the wisdom of God, the world through wisdom did not know God, it pleased God through the foolishness of the message preached to save those who believe. ...
[23] but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness,
[24] but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
[25] Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
[26] For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, [are called].
[27] But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty;
[Jhn 14:6, 9-10
[6] Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. ...
[9] Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
[10] "Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own [authority]; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works.
[Jhn 14:21, 23-26
[21] "He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him." ...
[23] Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.
[24] "He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father's who sent Me.
[25] "These things I have spoken to you while being present with you.
[26] "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

xxx we all start out with human wisdom, and guessing. Its what we use when there is no verses around. But when there are verses and the Holy Spirit human wisdom takes a back seat to the Word of God.
