my name is Dante and here is my situation. a few years ago, i commited a non violent crime. i stole some money using the internet. last year i was arrested. i signed a deal with the attorney general's office and they agreed not to give me jail time. the probation officer wants me to do 60 days just because. i have already agreed to pay restitution. the AG's office agrees with my lawyer that this officer is trying to get me to violate my probation so i will have to go to jail.

60 days is just long enough for me to lose my job, fall behind on my mortgage, end up with a felony on my record so i can't find employment, then i can't pay restitution, then i go to prison.

i'm a born again Christian that has made a few mistakes in life. all i'm asking is for my brothers and sisters in Christ to take a minute or two to pray for me.

thank you,

may God bless everyone that takes the time to lift me up in prayer.

"i signed a deal with the attorney general's office and they agreed not to give me jail time"

You have our prayers. The agreement has been made.
You wouldn't happen to have a copy of that would you? That should help.

Yes, I have a copy, but ultimately the decision lies with the judge and how he happens to feel that day. I feel like the justice system is a bunch of BS (please excuse my language here).

I feel like they are setting me up to fail. I go to sentencing on August 1, 2006. I need as much prayer by then as possible.

Thank you for your prayers.

Prophecy,

You have my prayers. Give this over to the Lord, and allow His will to be done here. Do not be anxious. I know that it seems like that is impossible considering the circumstances, but God does know what is best for us. Keep looking towards Him, no matter the outcome...this is my prayer for you. I know how it feels to have one event devistate your entire existance, but I also know that God holds us during these times. He uses them to teach, and to show us how He is able to restore. If you deserve prison, aside from the deal you have made, then take your sentence knowing that it is for a crime you have done. If the judge has mercy, and agrees to the deal, then be thankful that he, by the Lord, has granted you such a gift of mercy. God loves you, and will remain faithful to you, even if you doubt him during such a stressful time. Let us know, and you have my sincere paryers. The Lord bless you.

Lovely

Dante, there are probably more born again Christians in jail per capita, than most churches. (I've attended services there before. Jail I mean.)

I will pray that you never make a mistake like this again, that you live a long, healthy and happy life, and that your forgiveness is complete.

But I'll leave it up to the Lord on how He will accomplish these things.

Thanks for the prayers, I really appreciate it. Yesterday I opened my Bible and came to Matthew 6:27 & 34 NKJV (Actually, the entire chapter is great), it reads:

"Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his staure?" v. 27

"Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things. Sufficient for the day is it's own trouble." v. 34

I've done a lot of praying and I'm not going to worry about it any longer. I'm just going to continue to ask God in prayer and hope His answer is to keep me out of jail.

Prophecy, me too. The Lord bless you.

Prayer

If I were you I would not give in to what the probation officer wants- Satan has a way of bringing us down & he will by any means possible- Be aware of that, this I feel is one of those situations. And again, Pray & ask God for His Guidance & His will in this matter. He Loves You & only wants what's best for you as we all do!! God Bless you- you're in my thoughts & prayers.

This is the day that the Lord has made; we shall rejoice & be glad in it."

I spent a night in jail once, nineteen years ago. A result of my activity with Operation Rescue. That event continues to follow me. Each time I fill out a job application, or some other form that wants to know if I have ever been arrested. God is always with me, and gives me grace to deal with it.
Deu 23:5 Nevertheless the LORD thy God would not hearken unto Balaam; but the LORD thy God turned the curse into a blessing unto thee, because the LORD thy God loved thee.
I remember the anxiety of waiting for that moment to arrive, and the totally unexpected cheers and applause when I walked into the cell block. The inmates explained;"We just saw you on TV".
I had gone in there believing that I was going to be super-christian and minister to all of the inmates. I asked the Lord what He wanted me to do. As I waited for His answer, one of the inmates came over and gave me the front of a Christmas card. "I just wanted to give you something and this is the only thing I have." Another lady noticed I was shivering from the cold, and wrapped her blanket around me. Another handed me a 3 oz. plastic cup that once held diced fruit. "You need something to drink out of and the guards wont bring you a cup until breakfast."
I rarely think about the discomfort of that situation. I often remember how the Lord taught me to minister to others by allowing them to show me kindness.
Remember, God is in control. You are in my prayers.

My prayers are with you my brother. May the Lord settle his peace with in your heart and may he bless you and keep you.
I pray this in Jesus name.
Amen

Thanks for the encouraging words Gabby. Everyone else, thanks for the prayers, I need them. I'm also praying for everyone who has taken the time out to pray for me. I really appreciate it.

Phl 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Phl 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Proph, I am going through a crisis of my own right now. God just gave this to me, as I have to keep trading my anxiety for his peace. When this verse came to me, I thought of you. It is a peace that just makes no sense at all. It only comes through prayer. God bless you!

Give Us An Update

Hey Prophecy4,

What happened in court. I could not tell if you were ok or not by reading here. I hope all turned out allright. I have prayed for you and your situation and my family has been where you are and understand it is very hard to just let a judge have power over a decision that is going to effect your whole life. But like every one says God is over the court judge and actually put him or her in that place.
Let me hear from you. I pray all is still ok and that God will bless your family.

In Jesus Christ Our Lord,

Diane

"Father I ask You to intervene on Dante's behalf and grant him Your divine favor with all those associated with his case. In Jesus' name, Amen."

Dante - remember that faith is depending on God to work miracles in your situation! I am believing with you for that!
