Lets say that an angel appears to you and said..

"greetings from the Father, and blessing to you........Im here to let you know that 3 days from now you will be going home to Heaven, so prepare"...

Let say you found that out today, at 6am.

So, what now???

And whatever your answers are, then THESE are the things you need to be doing anyway., and not only if you are given your departure date from this world.

So, take care of all that asap., as it really really matters..... as maybe you do only have a few more days down here.

The good thing is that I won't have to go to work or pay rent... Meaning that I'll have more money to do more stuff with.

I'll also get to tell the truth of some relationships I've had with various people... Meaning that I can explain why I like them and not worry about this furor it will cause. (Some people like to believe that they are in control of everything whether they admit it or not)

I can also tell my son ALL that my ex wife and his mother did and said. And that it's in his best interest to stay away from her. (He is being lied to and deceived by her)

I can spend the remaining balance telling the stories of people in the Bible and how I know that God loves those that society seems to like the least. To any and all who will hear...as if I wasn't doing that now.
Ask me to tell you one and expect to get an earful. I usually do on all Saints Day.
 
I would think that, for most people, the answer to my Thread would be...."to finally resolve family matters", in some positive way.
People who you need to forgive, or people who need to forgive you.., would be addressed.
That kinda thing.
 
Yes to me that goes without saying so i was being silly... the California fires of late have made that again clear to me..
 
I think it would go in this order. First I'd be overjoyed that I was going to go to heaven instead of hell or somewhere else. Second I'd be worried for my wife, and ask for the angel (and God) to give us a little more time together, and ask if God would take care of her. Then I think I'd worry about other people in my life, and who I'd leave behind. Somewhere, in that mesh I'm sure I'd question if this angel is really from God. And finally, I think I'd move on to what to do next. Call work and let them know that I will no longer be coming into work, and start on my time left to say my goodbyes, and give my love to those I care for. And spend as much time with my wife as possible. We're only a little over a year married, so she would be a main concern, and time with her, a main priority.

Yes, i implied that the angel is from God but didnt actually state this.

I knew the intent, but I think I would still question. There's few garentees in the world, and at least one verse that the devil can disguise himself even as an angel of light. For me it'd probably look like this concerning the angel. Among the other thoughts concerns and joys, I'd question, "how do I know this is real?" If I had no reason to doubt it then it might pass, and that's often one of the filters of my doubt. I think what does the other have to gain from this being a lie. Even if there is reason to doubt that my mind comes up with, the other element is, what positive reassurances are there to show that this angel is from God. If there's enough doubt and enough reassurances, (or not enough of either) I would probabley hold back on some of my actions. Such as call in sick for a few days at work instead of telling them I won't be coming back. Enough to gauge my bets on acting on it if it is true, but not enough to risk anything while doing so.

The rest of the response was mostly based on the assumption that I believe the Angel is from God.

Since the situation has never happened to me I guess I can't say for sure how I would react but sitting here right now I would hope it would be more like, "Let it be done according to the Father's will."
  1. I should already be prepared so there should be nothing to prepare for.
  2. Anyone that feels the need to look back isn't fit for the Kingdom of God. Luke 9:57-62 Also, Luke 17:31-36
