im afraid of this soul/spirit ... he was willing to go all the way :) (me)

im afraid of my self. even he knew it would kill him........
Can you explain with a little more detail? What is the 'it' that would kill him? Who is the 'him'?

Do you think you shouldn't be afraid of yourself? I'm afraid of my 'self'. My 'self ' has been just plain stupid and sinful many times. But my 'self ' is getting better about thinking correctly as the Lord renews my mind by His word and through conservation with Him, prayer.

ESV Romans 12:1-2
1I appeal to you therefore, brothers,a by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.b 2Do not be conformed to this world,c but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.d

ESV Psalm 91:1-6
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will saya to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.
5 You will not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 nor the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor the destruction that wastes at noonday.
